I Had A Tumour Removed From My Pituitary Gland Over

I had a tumour removed from my pituitary gland over 30 years ago, which destroyed the pituitary gland and gave me diabetes insipidus. It was controlled over the last 30 years by using desmopressin nasal spray, but only at night - I found that if I didn't take the spray during the day, the continuous hunger that I used to get because I did not have a pituitary gland, disappeared and I only felt thirsty. However about 2 weeks ago I got a really bad infection in my liver, I was in hospital for over 2 weeks with very low blood pressure a high temperature and inability to hold food or water. I am now out of hospital and finding that I am dehydrating all day, continually running to the toilet and feeling very sick and dizzy. However I am hungry all day too and find I cannot stop wanting to eat, I am trying to control this but something seems wrong - how can I be dehydrated, drinking a lot of fluid and hungry as well? I do not understand what has happened.
