I Had An Ankle Surgery 7 Years Ago And Have

I had an ankle surgery 7 years ago and have a metal plate and 8 screws (titanium). For the last three months I have been experiencing pain all over the foot and ankle, even the Achilles, toes, redness, swelling, which are not going away. Used steroid, heparin creams prescribed by a doctor. I am a cardiac patient and on Warfarin. At first the thought was that it was a trauma with a slow healing process, but the pain and swelling travels around, redness in no longer very pronounced. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
