I had cervical cancer at age 24, and breast cancer at 54. I had a double mastectomy this past July. I have had Autoimmune thyroiditis for 30+ years. I recently had an ultrasound due to tightness in my throat. Results:
Thyroid:
Size: Right lobe 5.4 cm x 2.0 cm x 1.7 cm, left lobe 5.2 cm x 1.7 cm x 2.1 cm, and isthmus 4 mm in AP thickness.
Parenchyma: Markedly heterogeneous with subjectively increased Doppler flow.
Focal lesion(s):
Right lobe: There are multiple similar-appearing lobulated, fairly well-defined hypoechoic conglomerate nodules replacing much of the right lobe with a representative nodule in the upper pole measuring 2.0 x 2.1 x 1.4 cm. A similar-appearing nodule deep
in the mid lobe measures 1.1x 1.0 x 0.8 cm.
Left lobe: The left lobe is nearly replaced by a single large well-defined, markedly hypoechoic, hypervascular nodule--it measures 4.2 x 1.6 x 2.2 cm.
Isthmus: None.
Should I be concerned that it is cancer?
