I had gastric sleeve in 2011. In 2014 I started having dysphagia which got severe. After an EGD I was told I had a schatzki's ring and that they had dilated it. The symptoms never improved, then about 2016 I had another EGD and was told the ring was gone but a pocket had developed in my esophagus which was now causing the same symptoms, dysphagia, pressure, vomiting. I eat small amounts and chew the heck out of my food. I get really frustrated so I eat way too many sweets and chocolate since these items do not get stuck. At the most, I drink 32 ounces of liquid a day. My dilemma now is that I've gained a lot of weight back and have started a new diet plan. They require me to drink 64 ounces of water each day. I can only drink on an empty stomach. Like first thing in the morning I can drink 24 ounces in 45 minutes. Then I never go 6-8 hours without eating again so I can only take tiny sips the rest of the day. The diet instructor (I have over and over tried to explain that my physiological digestive issues) keeps harping at me. Am I crazy-have you all ever heard of someone having such huge challenges in drinking 64 ounces of liquid a day? Any suggestions appreciated. I am probably going to have to make a few MD appointments that I cannot afford. Thanks, Denise Pitzl YYYY@YYYY
