I Had My Tonsils Removed At The Age Of 4,

I had my tonsils removed at the age of 4, but it seems that my right tonsil has grown back, as there is a meatball-looking thing at the spot where my tonsils used to be, on the left side little bulbs are growing, and behind the right ball, there are also bulbs, making the back of my mouth filles with bulbs and one big ball looking like a tonsil. Since im 20 now and it starting to grow when i was 15 is it possible for them to grow back 11 years after surgery? And does smoking have anything to do with it?
