I have a bunion on both great toes. The right g.t. Has not hurt for several years. The left is quite painful with exercise. I wear orthotics in every shoe, one set is custom, others are sports orthotics ( superfeet). I wear roomy shoes and haven't worn a high heel in over forty years. I'm aware of the use of NSAIDs, cold, warm soaks etc. This winter the pain has caused me to stop cross country skiing. I've been looking online at splints, toe spacers, etc. but can't find any science that supports there use. A podiatrist also seem to have little scientific info about there helpfulness. Any advice?
