I have a few medical issues that I am currently being treated for. I recently moved and my previous doctor still prescribes me my medications and stays in connection with me via an online patient portal. I also recently got in to some legal trouble. To do the program I need to complete for the legal system, they want me taken off all my medications for up to a year’s time.
I can not go without my medications as they treat my mental health issues and I know I will not be able to successfully complete this program without my medications. My attorney says he can get me on to a special mental health court program and remain on my medications if I can get a note from a doctor stating my conditions and why I need my medications to function. I have reached out to her recently and have received no response, but she is still regularly sending in my prescriptions.
I have tried calling and leaving a message with her office on a few occasions and have not received a response to that either. What can I do? I don’t have a physician where I have moved to yet because I have been banking on her continuing my care without any hassle.
I need this letter within the next week and I’m severely stressing out. I’m not in a financial position right now to see a doctor either, due to my car recently being totaled and several other financial responsibilities. So, I do not have transportation at the moment, therefore I am not working, and on top of paying for car repairs and my legal fees/court costs/attorney fees, I’m completely broke and lost. I have no friends or family to help me. I’m stuck and stressed and worried and it’s really messing with me mentally and physically draining just dealing with this entire situation.
So, basically, I need to know a way to get a letter from a doctor online for me to give my attorney for him to show the court. The letter just needs to state my medical conditions, my medications and treatment, and why I must remain on these medications for my own personal mental health and well-being.
