I have a history of cysts behind my thigh and upper arm, I have had 2 removed. I ride horses but a small lump formed on the inside of my right calf, it is lodged in the muscle. It hurts for me to ride now and it feels like a knife whenever I apply pressure to it. I rode through some of the pain and it has now doubled on my right calf, and I am having similar pain in my left calf now. I was also recently diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance, and I am on my second month of prescribed Metformin, 1000 mg a day. I am only 17 years old and I am 5 ft 2, 106 lbs. I am very active. Are the bumps more cysts or something more serious?
