I have a knee replacement (full) that has failed due to (apparently) the cement failing. The implant was 'successfully' installed (finally) in January 2015. The replacement process began in June 2015 but complications, I.e., infections, bad skin grafts, and other reasons of which have not been informed in a manner that made sense and or seamed feasible. I have had issues throughout recovery, PT, and post surgical supervision.
Finally, in December 2015 the pain became so intense due to, yet another infection. (NOTE: I was under a qualified home nursing care throughout this time period that provided acceptable service).
Move forward in time to today, I am still unable to walk without support. I require pain management in order to function mentally (only 60% +/- of my previous ability).
Other joints have begun to show signs of deterioration (Right hip, Left knee, Left ankle, Lower back, etc).
Throughout the period between Jan 2016 to date, I have been plagued by persistent excema/psoriasis that no treatment could.alleviate. I was referred to an allergy specialist. The specialist performed a 5 day patch test. The only thing that showed a positive result was a component of the glue/cement used in the joint installation.
The knee area is red, inflamed, weeping fluid, extremely painful, scabbed over, and shedding skin.
