I Have A Lump Under A Posterior Cervical Fusion Incision

I have a lump under a posterior cervical fusion incision on Nov. 19, and the stitches were taken out on 11.9/14.
The lump is larger than a dime, hard, tender, no drainage on hard collar but tender to touch. I am a 67 y.o white female, no diabetes. Do you think this is just normal inflammation caused by the incision sutures and staples being removed? No red streaks or temp. No change in size for 4 days. I am not to see my surgeon until Jan. 20th. Any suggestions or advice?
