I Have A Non-displaced Fibula Fracture And Was Put In

I have a non-displaced fibula fracture and was put in a fracture boot. 1st xray after ED shows it remains non-displaced. The plan is to re-see Ortho in 2 wks and if remains non-displaced I would not need surgery. My question is would cause it to displace in the interim.
