I Have A Strong Menthol Feeling That Will Not Go

I have a strong menthol feeling that will not go away in my throat and chest. It's very uncomfortable. I also have some heart palpitations, fatigue and shortness of breath with it during this same time for the last week as well as felt like I had a fever in my upper body but I didn't. I have had a history of colitis & gastritis but this does not match any symptoms I have had with those illnesses. My past gastritis was pain and burning, not at all cooling. Matter of fact, both of those have been under control and doing well. I am unsure if the menthol uncomfortable feeling is causing anxiety or whether its a symptom since they occur at same time but the fatigue is quite unusual as well. I just saw my primary doctor to check blood work for thyroid, liver, kidney and they say its all fine. I'm going to see GI doctor this week. Any other suggestions?
