I Have An Infection In A Tooth That Is Under

I have an infection in a tooth that is under a 5 unit bridge , I have already had a root canal years ago on this tooth , I have seen my dentist this morning , I am on 500 mg of amoxicillin every 8 hours I started last night, I am leaving on vacation on a cruise tommorrow, I also have prednisone on hand for my heel planter fasciitis, if it flares , my question is would the prednisone help with inflammation and pain I am having
