I have been diagnosed as having progressive gait apraxia. Four years ago I had spinal surgery About two years ago spasticity developed in both lower limbs, oddly beginning about 6 to 7 pm. After many finger pricks, not likely a blood sugar problem. same result for blood pressure. no correlation of spasms to either metric. spasms are intense and painful. calves rock hard. jerking uncontrollable. alleviated with very hot bath. seemed to respond to Mirapex around 5pm.pain helped with hydrocodone+ acetaminophen. now both knees buckle simultaneously with no pain warning. occurred 3 times in last week. sleep is near impossible but when possible at very inconvenient times, such as defecating, drinking coffee, etc. father may have had similar: diagnosed ALS at 4 change to MS at 50 and died at84. I am 89, 130+IQ, very creative. good memory, both short and long term.. Baclofen causes intense leg cramps which stop in only 5 minutes after taking three 325mg aspirin ( impossible I've been told, but--IT WORKS!). So--- How do I get comfortable enough to enjoy more old age???????????????
