I Have Been Diagnosed With Osteoarthritis In Both Knees, Also

I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, also calcaneal valgus deformity in both feet. Im in extreme pain daily. I was advised by a doctor to lose weight, im in no position to exercise, Im trying, but to walk is excruciating. Im in pain medication, that doesn't help much. Ive been a machine operator for the past 15 years and I can no longer do the work, due to this. Can you tell me how bad is this, and could I possibly look at temporary disability benefits until I can get this under control?
