I Have Been To A Dermatologist Who Originally Diagnosed Me

I have been to a dermatologist who originally diagnosed me with tinea versicolor, treated it with terbanifine and it went away, but returned. Now she is telling me that I have vitiligo. However, I am seeing spots of color returning to a couple of areas. I am using an antifungal on them, but I am also tanning at the same time. My question is, can you tan vitiligo? If not, then I believe I have a recurring case of tinea versicolor.
