I Have Recently (June 18) Had A DMEK Operation On

I have recently (June 18) had a DMEK operation on my right eye, to deal with Fuch's Dystrophy, and also a cataract. Everything went as planned and full vision was restored in 14 days. The vision now is truly amazing.

My problem is that after a recent visit to the optician I'm told the levels of magnification required for my operated on eye has gone from +6 to +1.5.

I have a soon to be operated on left eye in the coming months of +6. The optician says that a difference of more than 2 can cause double vision.

Obviously when the second DMEK is carried out I will know exactly what I require and not have a large difference between the eyes as I have now.

I'm just turned 70 years, active, in good health, and I've had no post operation problems at all. I just need some glasses to tide me over until my second operation.

What would you advise? Should I have a +6/+1.5 pair of glasses made up, or should I continue with my old +6/+6 glasses ..even though the magnification is too strong for my new DMEK eye?
Regards
