I hit my hand at the ring finger knuckle on a doorknob. I had a bruise for a couple of days at lower row fingers and around knuckle. Bruising went away but very strong tingling pain remains and now a red spot has shown up around the knuckle along with the pain. Have not had X-rays. Will this get better on its own or need to have X-rays? What would treatment be if there were a chipped or broken bone?
