I just had the return of a problem that I hoped would not return. Everyone (in med community) says bio-equivalent meds such as Norco 7.5/325 are exactly the same no matter who makes them. This is not accurate. Please understand I understand medicine to the point of most family physicians. I ynderstand precise measurements as I am an engineer. About a year ago I had this problem when all of the pharms around me started replacing Watson or Actavis brand Norco with Mallikrodt brand. I sometimes could not find anyone who stocked another brand. One day I wondered if anyone else noticed. Found thousands of posts going back 3-5 years saying this Mallinkrodt brand sucks! Everyone saying what I was feeling -withdrawl! Finally that company was pulled. Of course, nobody says why, or even acknowledges this happened. Finally it was gone and things were fine. Today I walked into a CVS to fill my hydrocodone. I even asked, as I usually do, You haven't changed brands have you? No! I get home and they gave these damned Caraco Pharm brand and this is just like Mallinkrodt!! I'm thinking do we have to do this all over again? Who is supposed to be checking this stuff? Here I am, 3am. Tried doubling up the dose and kind of working. What can people do and is this just a concession for Obamacare? I heard they moved "self-imposed" standards from +/-10% to +/-25%. If you don't know, fine. But please, don't tell me that this is my imagination! I am an educated man and I don't "party" with drugs, Again, I do not party with drugs!! What's the deal?
