I recently had routine blood work done. I am a healthy, athletic 46 year old woman. All of my blood work came back normal, except for a positive ANA and high Anti-RNP. My doctor ordered these tests when I causally mentioned to her that I have suffered from exercise-induced hives for the past 20 years. I do suffer from migraines, which I have had since I was a teenager, but I have no other symptoms of lupus, or other autoimmune disease. I see a rheumatologist tomorrow but I am very nervous and concerned. Could this be something far more serious? Why would these tests come back abnormal if I am energetic/healthy?
