I Take Diltiazem ,i Have Had The Flu For A

I take diltiazem ,i have had the flu for a few weeks and can not seem to kick the cough. I have some benzonatate, a cough suppresent capsul 200mg. left from last year . My question is ,can i take these two medications together or will they interact with one another?
