I Was Diagnosed With 'isolated Systolic Hypertension' - 150/70. I

I was diagnosed with 'isolated systolic hypertension' - 150/70. I am 73 years old, live a very healthy lifestyle, eat well, sleep well, do Yoga/Meditation and about everything else Dr. Weill recommends.
My doctor prescribed a beta blocker (Atenolol) and I don't want to take it. Avoid ANY medication, even Aspirin or Tylenol, if I can. Do I have to worry?
