I Was Taking Lovastatin For 8+ Years & About 3

I was taking Lovastatin for 8+ years & about 3 years ago was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes & began taking Metformin. About 1 1/2 years ago my liver levels were elevated, my dr. took me off of Lovastatin for approx 6 months, also added Januvia & Glimeperide over time, then put me on Pravastatin. Since beginning Pravastatin, my blood sugars are rising. At my last check up (a month ago), my A1C was 11.5 & my blood sugars are normally running around 200. I have been watching my diet, but do not exercise. I am not gaining weight.
Could the statins have anything to do with the increase in my blood sugars?
Thank you,
Sandy T.
