I Went Walking Early Morning Yesterday, Maybe An Hour Or

I went walking early morning yesterday, maybe an hour or so after I woke up. The walk is maybe 10 or so minutes, and then another 10 minutes back. About a minute or two in to my walk home, my shins starting aching, but it was a hot day and i didnt want to rest and kept walking. The aching got more and more uncomfortable until I finally took a rest about 1-2 minutes away from my house. When I stopped moving the pain went away, but continued when I walked. The last 2 minutes was the hardest two minutes and I ended up almost limping home the pain had gotten pretty rough. My shins no longer hurt when I walk around, but I did notice a bump in my right leg to the left of my shin maybe 1/4 of the way down. Haven't taken a walk in quite a while, not sure if that's relevant. The bump does hurt at maybe a 2/10. Just wondering what this is?
