I'm 74 with a chaotic, overloaded schedule. I've always had the best memory of all my friends, long term AND short term. Over the last year I often experience 1) Losing train of thought mid-sentence, unable to recover it until I stop talking and think about other things. It's there; it just doesn't come up on demand. 2) I'll think of an issue I want to review and sometimes my mind goes blank and I have no idea what I wanted to think about. Again, I have to stop what I'm doing until the fog clears.
The problem is, I don't know how a 74-year-old brain ages and this might be normal. Can you refer me to literature on this?
