I'm 80 Years Old And Have Had More Or Less

I'm 80 years old and have had more or less continual Afib since 2/03. I had a a RA ablation in '06 which corrected a bout of AF. Beginning 10/15 I had a LA ablation, followed by 2 more in 3/16 and 7/16. The AF seems to be corrected with only minor reversions that self-correct within 24 hrs. Since then, however, I have had 3 CVs beginning 8/16, 4/17 and 8/18 for left atrial flutter. Last Weds I entered into AF again and am in the process of trying to schedule another CV. I might be able to put up with a CV once a year but not every other month. I have been on Metoprolol since 2003 and increasing the dosage when the AF starts does not result in a self-reversion. What other alternatives are available to me, short of a mini-Maze which I don't want. Is this the type of condition that can be treated with some type of pacemaker?,
