I'm a 64 year old male who has had swelling in my lower left leg, left ankle and left foot since atleast this past January. Ultrasound tests on my legs (arterial and venous), an ultrasound of my abdomen, a cat scan of my abdomen and pelvis and even a brain MRI have not been able to determine the cause. I'm also pre-diabetic, with slight cervical dystonia and occasionally have significant pains in the very bottom of my left foot (mid-foot). Would you have some ideas as to what may be causing this swelling? My neurosurgeon thinks it's a vascular problem. The next type doctor I'm due to see is my cardiologist. the ultrasound exams ruled out a baker's cyst behind the left knee. Thanks in advance for your assistance. I also have gallstones and oseopenia. My right leg has just a minor bit of swelling. Both legs have had a minor bit of swelling for years. I've been getting Prolia injections twice a year for osteoporosis, which I used to have, for the last 3 or 4 years, ever since the FDA approved its use by men. My rheumatologist says he's never seen Prolia cause the kind of significant swelling I have in my lower left leg, ankle and foot. Thanks again.
