I'm Having Sever Pain In My Lower Left Ribs. The

I'm having sever pain in my lower left ribs. The doctor took an xray an saw calcification on the ribs. The pain is getting worse. I went to er in tons of pain. The ER dr. Said it was just costochondritis an it would go away in a few day or couple of weeks. I've been in pain for moths already. What could it be?
