I'm Suffering From Severe Pain Due To What I Thought

I'm suffering from severe pain due to what I thought was trigeminal neuralgia, but after an MRI, the dr says that there is no compressed nerve to indicate TN. So, where is the pain coming from and how can I get rid of it? I don't want to be on drugs for the rest of my life. I am a 45 yr old, very young, woman, in relatively good health, with 4 children and a career, but this pain is debilitating. I can't find anything other than pain meds as a recommendation.
