I'm wondering if someone is able to help. I've been sick for a few years, I have an enlarged spleen 16cm with 2.0cm cyst. This has caused sever abdominal pain (sharp stabbing pain in upper left quadrant of stomach).
I've had significant issues with my iron over this time period (female), over the last few months my iron has been in the 30-40 range and iron saturation has been 10-20 even after a ferritin infusion. Prior to the infusion my ferritin was in the 60's. Since the transfusion my ferritin went from a high of 278-190 in less than three months.
During initial investigation by my doctors they found mild hemophilia current levels are at 40. My bone marrow didn't show any significant indications of an abnormality. I've had slightly positive ANAs and negative ANAs (two positive, two negative, most recent negative). My CBCs: last five CBCs have had elevated platelets (400-500), low lymph (10-20), low MPV (8-9)
I've lost all appetite, (yes i do eat, i understand its important to get nutrition). When i do eat i usually get nauseous and full quickly, several bites in and i'm done. I'm exhausted (yes i understand that my busy and stressful life has an impact on that but it seems all i manage to go to work and work out and sleep most days) after the iron (ferritin) transfusion i had so much energy, i'm not sure if it was from the steroid used to prevent an allergic reaction or from the iron.
Is there something that would combine these seemingly random and unimportant (relatively normal) things? I'm at a loss and i think my doctors are as well, I just want to feel like myself.
