In 2007, a trace of blood was found in my urine during a routine physical. I had a CT scan at the time and a kidney stone was identified on the scan. So I have not worried too much about the trace of blood since then. But it has continued to appear, so late last year I visited a urologist. He performed an ultrasound and a KUB X-Ray and no problems were identified other than the stone. He convinced me to have the stone treated by lithotripsy. During the procedure he also performed a cystoscopy. The procedure went fine, but at my follow up visit one month later, I still had a trace of blood in my urine. I had hoped getting rid of the stone would have fixed this problem. The urologist believes the trace of blood is just the way I am. Should I try to have more tests, etc.
