Is It Safe To Use Santyl For Second Degree Burns?

I am applying Santyl topical to deep second degree burns, some of the area looks like new skin only one or two spots, dime size, is red and open, not infected, these are the only areas I am using the Santyl on, not on the healed skin, does that sound correct?
