Is Trichomoniasis Recurrent?

I was diagnosed with HPV in 2005 I have recently been treated for Trichomoniasis. Is this something that will reoccur because I have already been diagnosed with an STD? I am with the same partner that had given this to me in 2005 and will assume he is the carrier since I have only been with him since 2003!!
