I've Been Diagnosed With Bulging Discs (L4&5) With A Pinched

I've been diagnosed with bulging discs (L4&5) with a pinched sciatic nerve. Pain in left buttock, down outside of left leg,(especially from knee down) through the ankle into foot/toes with numbness and tingling in the latter mentioned areas. I've been under the care of a "pain management" physician since Jan. with 3 injections in my back. Not too much has changed as far as pain is concerned. Altho my ankle does swell by days end, it is not swollen when I get up....but I still have the pain IN the ankle. Because the swelling goes down, I did not think my pain is indicative of a fracture, but as a long-shot I called and talked to the nurse and asked her to mention this to DR. and see IF it might be possible. Got a call back today saying I should contact my PCP or chiropractor (whom I have been seeing), because the sciatic nerve would not cause ankle pain. Would you suggest I might be wise to find a new doctor?
