I've Been Having What I Have Self Diagnosed As Tennis

I've been having what I have self diagnosed as tennis elbow for going on 3 months. At times, it's better than others. I try to wear the band around my right elbow area to help, but it doesn't appear to be getting better. In addition, I have what I'd normally consider a tight muscle in my right quad/hamstring. I've had this on and off for the last 8 months. I'm 48 yrs old and in fairly good health. I have some herniated discs that prevent me from exercising as much as I'd like, but I do stay active due to my athletic 10 yr old son.

I feel that I can probably stretch my quad/hamstring out, but I really want to get my arm back to full strength. I hate not being able to throw the football or baseball with my son. One of our close friends was recently diagnosed with ALS, and being somewhat of a hypochondriac, I pray that the combination of the arm and leg on the right side isn't an early sign of ALS. I don't stumble or have a problem with my gate when walking, at most I'd say it just takes a couple of steps to loosen the tightness up, even then it's not painful.
