Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 17 year old daughter went for blood work, to be prescribed Accutane. Her ALT level was 60 & ASC was 46. The doctor suggested waiting 2 weeks and repeating the blood workup. Now her ALT is 131 & ASC is 72. She was diagnosed with mono in January but other than fatigue and swollen lymph nodes, she had no complications with it. I have noticed her appetite has dwindled, recently. We have an appointment with a liver doctor soon. What should I prepare myself for, does this seem serious, where her levels doubled in two weeks?
