My 2 Year Old Got Stung By A Bee Or

My 2 year old got stung by a bee or some thing earlier today below her eye, it was swollen and bruised automatically. We talked to a nurse that's in our family and she said to give her benadryl for the next 72 hours and apply calamine lotion to the area. Keep her head up whIle she sleeps at to prevent it from going into her eye. Is there anything else we can do to get it to go away?
