My 55 year old partner has just had the pain in his left leg (when walking, but no pain when resting) diagnosed as possible Intermittent Claudication. He has to have a blood test next week, but he is a smoker, 20 a day, & has smoked for years. I am worried that we have a holiday & 4hrs flight booked in 2 weeks time. The doctor says he won't need an operation, but is it safe for him to fly? Would those special stockings help if he wore them on the flight? I'm also worried that our travel insurance won't cover him if anything deteriorates whilst we are away?
