My 83 year old mother was recently hospitalized for bronchitis, COPD, CHF and emphysema. She was originally on Lisinopril (5mg tabs, 1 tab x 2 a day) prescribed by her heart doctor and then she was sent home with another prescription to add to it for Metoprol Tar (25mg. tablets, 1/2 tablet x 2 a day) from another doctor. It seems strange because her blood pressure can be all over the place, low then high. Since the description for both is for blood pressure, I just wanted to check if I should question this with either of the doctors. I realize that all meds are listed on her chart, but I also realize physicians are also human.
