My Aunt, Who Is Around 55, Recently Had A Complete

My aunt, who is around 55, recently had a complete 180 on her personality. She has been a sweet, quiet, lady all my life, and now has taken to cussing out her grown daughter. I don't know much more about her condition, but is there anything that could possibly explain this Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde scenario? She also recently left her husband of 38 years.
