My Friend, Curt, And Neighbor Has Sepsis. I Haven't Been

My friend, Curt, and neighbor has sepsis. I haven't been able to visit or talk to him but he is about 50 yoa, and his dad,Harold, in his 80's, told me and they are asking if I can maybe stop where I'm working and run their farm. That's the reason I am asking. Harold said Curt may be out of commission for an undetermined amount of time maybe up to 2 years. I am familiar with sepsis as I was an EMT some years back. But I am not sure as to the expected recovery times and/or the amount of time which id debilitating. All I know is they say curt's sepsis is pretty bad. I guess he has been fighting this a month or two. I know that you cannot know his actual condition to give me an exact time frame, but maybe you can give me some typical recovery periods. I am a contract millwright but know much about running ranches. I don't mind helping them out but I don't know what kind of time frames I can expect. Curt being disabled is what I'm concerned with. So give me some ideas if you will please.
