My Husband, Aged 81, Took RestoraLAX For The First Time

My husband, aged 81, took RestoraLAX for the first time today. He has a (recent) colostomy, has been having firm stools and the doctor felt this may be a better alternative than Metamucil. This evening he developed chills, fever (38.3C), stomach discomfort and mild nausea. I gave him 2 Tylenol Extra Strength for the fever. Last check it was 38C. Is the fever a possible side effect? It is totally out of character for him.
