My Husband Already Has Two Stents His , Heart Attack

My husband already has two stents his , heart attack happened at age50 .. the Second Stent was put in a few years later ..he is 67now. he takes generic Plavix ,Lisinopril 10mg, baby aspirin, folic acid (for his thalassemia anemia )fish oil and vitamins and Crestor 40 milligrams. the stress test revealed he needs to go to cardiac catherization because of the Widowmaker artery .they won't know until they're in there if he needs a stent or bypass surgery.. how do you know which is better? who makes the decision the cardiologists doing the stent or do you have to call in or thoracic surgeon? Does he stop taking the baby aspirin ,Plavix and other medications before cardiac Cath? I am so confused and worried about this because his first heart attack he had no symptoms at all and he has no symptoms right now..
