My Husband Has Always Been Nervous But Hides It Well,

My husband has always been nervous but hides it well, along with claustraphobia. Lately its been really bad, along with panic attacks and insomnia. I finally got him to got to doc (he hasn't seen one in about 10 years) and after zillions of blood tests, ekgs, etc. doc put on on lowest dose of Prozac. Things were good the first day and have gone downhill from there. Now on day 5 he can't sleep, is very tired, having mini panic attacks and is so nervous he can't sit still. From what I've read this is normal for this med and things will get better with time. Is this correct? He is 71.
