My Tooth Got Pushed Into My Bottom Lip Due To

My tooth got pushed into my bottom lip due to a fall, i went to the doctors had X-rays, doctors couldnt find my broken off front tooth, a week later i noticed the complete piece of tooth in my healing lip, i pulled it out, about a year later now, the scar on my lip is quite prominent, and seems to be getting worse, there seems to be 2 scarred areas, could it be possible a small fragment on tooth is still lodged in my lip?
