My wife is 45 years old. She has been suffering from a shooting electric shock like pain/sensation on the left side of her face, ear, nose, eye, forehead, scalp, head/brain for almost a month. She has an electric shock type of sensation. The pain keeps on coming back every now and then. It all started after she visited her dentist last month (August 23, 2015) for a regular dental check-up. During that visit she had a regular dental check-up, cleaning and three fillings. Within one hour after coming back from the dentist she felt that one of her teeth was loose and she started feeling a shooting pain/sensation on the left side of her face. Immediately we went back to the dentist. The dentist said that he did not touch that tooth and may be it was loose from before and suggested that tooth should be extracted. My wife at that time didn't want to extract that tooth. Then the dentist prescribed her an antibiotic and extra strength ibuprofen. Gradually that pain and electric shock like sensation subsided, but it strongly came back this Monday, September 14, 2015. She went to the ER last Tuesday, September 15, 2015. The ER doctor thought it was due to her tooth and suggested her to see her dentist and he prescribed her three medicines: one Antibiotic , Hydrocodone and Diazepam. Thursday, September 17, 2015 she went to see her dentist. The dentist extracted that loose tooth and told her that she should continue with those medicines and everything will be fine. But, nothing has changed, no improvement at all! She is in unbearable pain/electric shock like sensation! The frequency of the shooting electric shock like sensation has increased. She can not eat or sleep, even rest! It is killing her. She does not know what to do!? Please, help. Thanks.
