Nuisance Or See A Doc? Feels Like Tiny, Hard Specks

Nuisance or see a doc? Feels like tiny, hard specks under skin at inner aspects of eye, as if there is a grain of sand within lacrimal sac. Feels itchy, and skin is red, possibly because I've been rubbing it in annoyance. Gradual onset some months ago, has reached a point of perpetual distraction, and seems to be occurring in both eyes now. Have been using saline drops for some years for dry eyes. Age 55, female, B-12 IM monthly, no other meds.
