On March 6 I Had A Severe Sciatica Attack In

On March 6 I had a severe sciatica attack in my right leg. After finally getting pain managed I have started walking 2-3 times a week. My question is that my foot is still numb, and my ankle and knee have swelling. During the treatment period, an MRI showed what was reported as a hematoma in my calf, but then after a follow up ultra sound was done, the report was changed to be a fatty tissue instead in my calf. Would the swelling be caused from the fatty thing in my calf, or is the swelling from the sciatica nerve "damage" or what seemed like trauma to my leg from the sciatica attack. I hope to play tennis again this summer. :) My doctor recommended that I go in and see an orthop. surgeon. I'm afraid to do that. I am a 57 yr old female. Thanks for any advice you can give.
