Suggest Remedy For Rash All Over The Body

35 male. 72" 205#. Healthy. Not taking any medications.

I went online in mid Feb this year and was diagnosed with pityriasis rosea. At that time I had the rash for about 6 weeks. I do have a "herald patch" and my rash is consistent with all of the material I have read about PR. Except that it hasn't gone away. It is also a very extensive rash (torso, upper arms, upper legs, feet, back, buttocks). Mild itching, relieved with lotion and steroid creams. It is not on any palms or soles so I dont believe it is syphilis. I haven't been to see a Dr in an office as I do not have medical insurance yet through my job. i also want to mention that for about the last 7 years I typically get a rash in the wintertime along my thighs, sometimes lower legs, and in a couple instances my lower torso. But those lesions do not present as this does and usually went away within a couple weeks on their own. I am curious about a couple of things. What other possibilities might this be? I know PR can last a long time in some cases, but I feel like it should have resolved already. Also, I have read that sometimes antivirals(acyclovir, famvir) are prescribed. I was thinking about ordering medication online, but I am not sure about the dosages and schedules. What do youo recommend?

Thanks for any help. It is greatly appreciated.
