Suggest Treatment For A Persistent Pain Below The Sternum

i have a sharp constant pain starting right below my sternum, traveling down a few inches, wrapping around my right side just below the rib cage, then around my back towards my spine. Ive been an alcoholic for 13 years, but have been sober for 30 days.

2 years ago i saw a doctor and was told that i have a fatty liver, but today i went to the ER and after an xray and ultra sound i was told that my liver and gull bladder were "fine".

This news shocked me. I know im no doctor but i feel i show all the signs of having liver, and or gull bladder problems. SO PLEASE WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?
